Last night for supper, I was thinking of what I could make as a side dish that's a little different. While browsing through my Chatelaine magazine, I noticed a recipe for Rutabaga Fries. I've had Yam Fries....but never Rutabaga. I usually always have a rutabaga in my fridge to add to soups or sometimes just steamed. I never thought of making oven fries with them before. Were they ever good! I would have to say I like them even better than Yam Fries. I'm definitely going to be making them again.
I cut the rutabaga into fries and them steamed them for about 5 minutes because they're really hard. Then I just coated them with oil and spices and baked them at 425 degrees for about 15 to 20 minutes. They cook alot faster than potatoes and burn easily.
