Cuban Black Beans in Slow Cooker

This is a simple recipe.  When we vacationed in Cuba, black beans were served daily....practically in every meal.  We love beans so that was great for us.  There was one particular restaurant in Old Havana that we went to and they served a really good black bean sauce over top of rice.  I craved that dish when we arrived home so I found this recipe, that is almost the same.  Really good served over brown rice.

1 (16oz.) can of black beans
1 onion, diced
1 bell pepper, diced
5 cloves of garlic, minced
2 bay leaves
1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes
1 (28 oz) can of water
2 tbsp. oil
2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
1/2 tsp. cumin
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. chilies
1 tsp. salt

Cook on High for 8 hours.
