Asparagus Pasta Primavera

Yesterday I picked alot of asparagus from my garden.  Rather than just steaming them as a sidedish, like usual, I decided to make a pasta dish with them instead.  It sure was good and very easy to make.

You can use any pasta.  I used whole-wheat spaghettini.

I cut up my asparagus and steamed them slightly.

In a saucepan, I saute one onion, garlic, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes along with nutmeg, basil, oregano and black pepper.  Then I mixed a bit of flour into the mixture and slowly added one full can of Carnation No-Fat Evaporated Milk and the steamed asparagus and stirred until it thickened.  I then added grated parmesan cheese and grated old cheddar cheese and poured it all over the pasta.  So quick and easy.
