Homemade Power Gel


This recipe was submitted by my very fit and healthy friend, Laurie.  This is a great money-saving recipe if you normally purchase your power gel.

 
50% brown rice syrup  found in whole food stores or where they sell that in grocery stores (YIGs)
30% honey
20% black molasses
1/8 tsp sea salt..(a little more in the hot summer)
 
add if you wish
caffeine powder, flavoured extract ... to acquired taste.
 
mix and add a bit of water to the consistency you want...
 
myself .. I usually take 2 tbsp with a glass of water before my adventure...
